Welcome to Muse. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Muse mobile application (the "App") operated by Muse ("we," "us," or "our").

By creating an account or using Muse, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Muse. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or guardian has reviewed and agrees to these Terms.

2. your account

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
• You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
• You may not impersonate another person or use a misleading username.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You may delete your account at any time in the App.

3. content you share

ownership

You retain ownership of the photos, captions, and other content you share on Muse ("Your Content"). By sharing content, you grant Muse a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute Your Content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the App. This license ends when you delete Your Content or your account.

AI processing

Some features use AI to analyze photos you upload, for example to identify clothing items and create images of them for your closet. By using these features, you agree to your photos being processed by our AI service providers for this purpose. Images we generate are stored in your closet and follow the same visibility settings as your other content.

content guidelines: zero tolerance

Muse has a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive behavior. You agree not to post, upload, or share content that:

• Is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or hateful
• Contains nudity, sexually explicit material, or sexually suggestive content
• Sexualizes, exploits, or endangers minors in any way
• Promotes self-harm, violence, or dangerous activities
• Targets individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin
• Infringes on the intellectual property rights of others
• Contains spam, advertising, solicitations, or scams
• Impersonates another person or misrepresents your identity
• Contains malware, viruses, or harmful code

reporting and enforcement

You can report outfits, comments, profiles, or communities that break these guidelines from within the App. We review reports and act on violations promptly. When we find a violation, we will remove the content and may suspend or permanently remove the responsible account without notice.

You can block any user at any time, which stops them from interacting with you and your content. We also use automated filtering to help detect and stop objectionable photos and text.

We do not tolerate users who repeatedly violate these guidelines, attempt to evade bans by creating new accounts, or harass other members of our community. Such users will be permanently removed from Muse.

4. communities

• Communities are created and managed by users.
• Community admins are responsible for moderating their communities.
• We may remove communities that violate these Terms.
• Anyone can join a public community. Private communities control who can join, for example by invitation or with an admin's approval.

5. acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to access other users' accounts
• Interfere with or disrupt the App or its servers
• Scrape, crawl, or collect data from the App by automated means
• Circumvent any access controls or security measures
• Use the App to send unsolicited communications
• Create multiple accounts to evade bans or restrictions
• Mass-distribute invite links, profile links, outfit links, or community links (e.g., posting to public forums, email blasts, or bulk messaging services) in a manner that qualifies as spam

6. shareable links

Muse lets you share links to profiles, outfits, communities, and invites. When you share a link:

• You are responsible for the context in which you share it and the recipients you share it with.
• Someone who joins through your invite may be connected with you on Muse automatically.
• Anyone with a link can see a short preview. Everything else follows the same privacy settings as in the App.
• You may not share another user's links in a way that harasses, targets, or endangers that user.

7. intellectual property

The Muse name, logo, and App design are our intellectual property. You may not use our branding without written permission. The App's source code, design, and features are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

8. privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and share your information.

9. disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

AI-generated wardrobe analysis and item identification are provided for convenience and may not be perfectly accurate. We are not responsible for errors in AI-generated content.

10. limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Muse shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of content, or interruption of service.

11. indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Muse and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

12. termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the App at any time. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. We reserve all rights not expressly granted in these Terms.

13. changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top. If you keep using Muse after an update, you accept the updated Terms.

14. governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
